Mubarakan (2017), A Review…

Always a fan of the typical dramatic Hindi movies, the film I loved the most in the recent year was a comparatively recent release, ‘Mubarakan’.

A typical Indian romantic comedy, the film was directed by Anees Bazmee starring Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz, Athiya Shetty, Neha Sharma, Ratna Pathak and many more talented actors.

A brilliant story by Balwinder Singh Janjua and Rupinder Chahal, the film follows the story of twins, who lose their parents as infants and end up getting split within the family when their single paternal uncle realizes that he can’t bring them up. Brought up in completely different lifestyles by very different parents, the twins grow up to be two completely different characters. And now that they’ve grown up, there’s much more happening and well, family happens.

As the twins attempt to manage their families and still handle their social lives without having to pick one over the other, Anees Bazmee manages to bring a completely hilarious twist of events as it all leads up to a happily ever after!

One of the most hilarious films I’ve watched, Mubarakhan is an entertaining drama that anyone is sure to enjoy for a couple hours.

Music by Amaal Mallik, Gourov-Roshin, Rishi Rich and Amar Mohile perfectly complement the film. Cinematography by Himman Dhamija and Editing by Rameshwar S.Bhagat.

A beautifully directed film that entertains the audience completely, this is definitely a movie to watch, especially if you’re just looking for a couple of hours to enjoy!

I’d give it a 4.5/5.
